Your first rescue award. Patrol, and help with rescues and water safety.

How to get it
Step 1: Prepare
Join the club. Do about 3 hours of eLearning in the Surf Life Saving Hub (SLS Hub). Do your swim.
Step 2: Do the course
Five days. You’re assessed on day 5.
Step 3: Assessment
An assessor who didn’t train you. You have 3 months from your first assessment to pass every task.
Step 4: Keep it current
Do your Skills Maintenance Check (SMC) each season, by 31 December.
